Pelican SabreLIte 2000 Flashlight with Photoluminescent Shroud

Product Description

Same features as the SabreLite 2000 but outfitted with a lens ring that emits a bright glow in the dark. The new generation photoluminescent material in the plastic absorbs the energy from any light source – fluorescent lights, the sun, or even the flashlight’s own beam. No more fumbling in the dark for your flashlight. It is powered by 3 C alkaline cells, submersible to 500 feet, and has an ABS resin body which resists chemicals, corrosion, and extreme temperatures.

Designed to eliminate fumbling around when seeking a flashlight in the dark, this 7.79-inch flashlight features a lens shroud that emits a bright glow when the lights are out or the sun has set. The new-generation photoluminescent material in the shroud’s plastic absorbs energy from any light source: fluorescent lights, the sun, and even the flashlight’s own beam.

Offering safety and durability, the flashlight has a rugged ABS resin body that resists chemicals, corrosion, and extreme temperatures and is faceted for secure gripping. It’s submersible to 500 feet thanks to an o-ring seal and the twist on/off lens shroud that eliminates leaky switches and comes with a polarity battery-guard tray that safeguards against dangerous “outgassing” of hydrogen from an accidentally reversed battery. >p> A high-impact polycarbonate lens and pre-focused xenon lamp module produce a tight white beam that penetrates smoke and fog and is approximately four times as powerful as an ordinary flashlight’s beam. A one-way “umbrella” valve allows gases to vent from the body to prevent excessive pressure buildup while blocking water entry when the flashlight is submerged. The flashlight is powered by three C alkaline batteries (not included) and weighs 12.8 ounces with batteries. Battery burn time is five hours. A lanyard on the end secures the flashlight to wrist, a spring-loaded clip holds it securely on a belt, and a ring allows clipping to a lanyard (not included).

About Pelican Products
Dave Parker, president of Pelican Products, has been an avid scuba diver since age 11. During his early diving years, he repeatedly discovered that something he needed to make a dive complete was simply not available. It dawned on him that if he needed that piece of gear other divers did, too. In 1976, he began the company with his wife and co-founder Arline, an airline stewardess, while he continued his advertising and industrial-design business. From that inception as a small garage operation, Pelican has blossomed into an international marketing and manufacturing firm.
